Job summary

ATA Recruitment supports a long-established food manufacturer with a 100+ year history, seeking a Maintenance Engineer for their Bottesford site. The role offers double day shifts (6am-2pm / 2pm-10pm) with a salary of £40,040 - £44,027 and excellent benefits.

You’ll be hands-on, fault‑finding and maintaining a range of production and packing equipment. You will read electrical and mechanical drawings, perform reactive and planned maintenance, support improvements to reduce downtime, and work

Qualifications

• A Level 3 Engineering qualification or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a maintenance engineering role.
• Strong mechanical/electrical maintenance capabilities.
• Good ability to read engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

Are you a Maintenance Engineer looking for a new opportunity within a well-established manufacturing environment?

We are currently working with a long-established, farmer-owned food manufacturer with over 100 years of history, renowned for producing award-winning speciality products supplied across the UK and exported internationally.

This is a great opportunity for an engineer who enjoys being hands‑on, solving faults and working with a wide range of production machinery.

About the Role

As a Maintenance Engineer, you will play an important role in keeping the site's production and packing equipment operating efficiently.

Your day‑to‑day responsibilities will include:

• Reactive and Planned Preventative Maintenance
• Electrical and mechanical fault-finding
• Working on automated production and packing machinery
• Reading and interpreting electrical and mechanical drawings
• Identifying recurring faults and supporting improvements
• Working closely with production teams to minimise downtime
• Supporting installation and commissioning of new equipment where required
• Maintaining accurate maintenance records and ensuring work is completed safely
• Working as part of a wider engineering team to maintain high levels of plant availability

About You

You should ideally have:

• A Level 3 Engineering qualification or equivalent
• Previous experience in a maintenance engineering position
• Strong mechanical and/or electrical maintenance experience
• Good electrical fault-finding ability
• Experience working on production or automated machinery
• The ability to read engineering drawings
