Job summary

Castle Employment Agency Ltd is recruiting for an electrically biased, multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a busy, highly automated manufacturing site in Hull. The role covers both electrical and mechanical maintenance, fault finding, PPM, repairs and continuous improvement to support production.

You will carry out reactive and planned maintenance, support new machinery installations and commissioning, develop PPM procedures, and work closely with production to minimise downtime while

Qualifications

• Level 2 and 3 Engineering qualification.
• Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills.
• Experience maintaining factory plant and production machinery.
• Injection moulding experience would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

Maintenance Engineer

Location: Hull

Shift: Monday to Friday Days only
Salary: E45k - £50k

We are recruiting for an Electrically biased, Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join an established and highly automated manufacturing business in Hull.

This is a hands‑on role covering both electrical and mechanical maintenance, supporting production through effective fault finding, PPM, repairs and continuous improvement.

The Role

• Carry out reactive and planned preventative maintenance
• Fault find and repair electrical and mechanical machinery
• Support new machinery installations and commissioning
• Carry out repairs and modifications to improve reliability
• Develop and improve PPM procedures
• Get involved in Continuous Improvement and engineering projects
• Support general facility maintenance where required
• Work closely with production to minimise downtime
• Maintain high Health & Safety standards

What We're Looking For

• Level 2 and 3 Engineering qualification
• Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills
• Experience maintaining factory plant and production machinery
• Manufacturing or FMCG background preferred
• Injection moulding experience would be advantageous
• 18th Edition, 2394/95 or apprenticeship training desirable
• Proactive, organised and able to work independently
