Job summary

Aqumen Recruitment is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Engineer for a Hull site. The role focuses on planned and reactive maintenance across automated production equipment to reduce downtime, improve reliability and maintain safe operations.

The ideal candidate has strong electrical fault-finding skills, works well in a team, and seeks stability, technical variety and development within a global manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent engineering qualification.
• Maintenance experience within manufacturing, production or processing.
• Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Experience with drives, inverters, motors, sensors and control systems.
• Experience fault-finding on PLC-controlled machinery.
• Ability to read and amend engineering drawings.
• Proactive approach to maintenance and reliability.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Flexibility to work the advertised shift pattern.

Responsibilities

• Complete planned preventative maintenance on production machinery.
• Respond quickly to electrical and mechanical breakdowns.
• Diagnose faults and carry out effective repairs.
• Work with PLC-controlled equipment, drives, inverters, motors and sensors.
• Improve machine availability and overall equipment performance.
• Record maintenance activity using CMMS and TPM systems.
• Identify recurring faults and recommend improvements.
• Support engineering projects and continuous improvement activity.
• Work closely with production, quality and operational teams.
• Contribute to risk assessments and safety documentation.
• Ensure all work meets health, safety and environmental standards.
• Support and share knowledge with colleagues.

Location: Hull

Salary: £47,916.56 per annum

Contract: Permanent, full-time

Shift pattern: 4 on, 4 off - 4 days, 4 off, 4 nights, 4 off
