Maintech Recruitment Ltd is partnering with a leading global food manufacturer in Lincoln to recruit a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer on a continental 4-on-4-off shift. The role emphasizes proactive maintenance and continuous improvement, not just reactive breakdown work.

You will maintain high‑speed production lines, diagnose faults, and contribute to reliability projects, with clear routes into Reliability Engineering and Engineering Leadership.

Formación

• Apprentice-trained with an NVQ Level 3 or equivalent engineering qualification.
• Electrical, mechanical or multi-skilled maintenance background.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic ability.
• Experience within FMCG, food manufacturing or another automated production environment.
• Knowledge of SCADA and CMMS systems would be an advantage.

Responsabilidades

• Carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance across high-speed production and packaging equipment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults to minimise downtime.
• Lead and support root cause analysis to eliminate recurring failures.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that boost plant reliability and performance.
• Complete pre‑ and post‑maintenance inspections and support lubrication and PM strategies.
• Coach production teams on autonomous maintenance and equipment care.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and high engineering standards.

We are working with a leading global food manufacturer at their highly automated, state‑of‑the‑art site in Lincoln. Producing some of the UK's best‑loved snack brands, the business continues to invest heavily in its people, equipment and engineering capability, with a strong focus on proactive maintenance and continuous improvement.

This is a great opportunity for a Multi‑Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a large, well‑established engineering team on a continental 4-on-4-off shift pattern, earning £56,983.68 basic plus quarterly bonus and readily available overtime (OTE £60,000+). You will work on high-speed production and packaging machinery, improving equipment reliability and supporting engineering projects rather than simply reacting to breakdowns.

The role would suit an electrically or mechanically biased engineer looking for an employer that invests in its people and rewards them for it, with clear routes into Reliability Engineering, Continuous Improvement or Engineering Leadership.
