Pioneer Selection Ltd. is seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer for a well-established manufacturing business in the Boston area of Lincolnshire. The role offers a £52,000 salary and a 4 on 4 off – Days & Nights shift pattern.

You will perform planned and reactive maintenance across production machinery, work with engineering and production teams to maximise equipment reliability, and uphold high Health & Safety standards.

Maintenance Engineer

Location: Boston, Lincolnshire

Salary: £52,000

Shift: 4 on 4 off – Days & Nights

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established and successful manufacturing business based in the Boston area.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Maintenance Engineer looking to join a stable business offering a strong salary, excellent shift pattern and long-term career opportunities within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The successful Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across a range of production machinery, responding to breakdowns and working closely with the wider engineering and production teams to maximise equipment reliability and minimise downtime.

Responsibilities of the Maintenance Engineer:

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across production machinery and equipment.
• Respond to breakdowns and carry out reactive maintenance.
• Fault find and diagnose electrical and mechanical issues.
• Complete repairs efficiently to minimise production downtime.
• Support continuous improvement and machinery reliability initiatives.
• Work closely with production teams to ensure equipment remains operational.
• Complete engineering documentation and maintenance records.
• Maintain high standards of Health & Safety at all times.
• Support engineering projects and equipment improvements where required.

Skills Required:

• Previous experience working as a Maintenance Engineer, Multi-Skilled Engineer, Electrical Engineer or Mechanical Engineer.
• Strong electrical and/or mechanical engineering background.
• Experience within a manufacturing, production or FMCG environment.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Experience carrying out both planned and reactive maintenance.
• Comfortable working a 4 on 4 off Days & Nights shift pattern.
