Job summary

ETS Consulting Ltd is seeking a Maintenance Engineer for a UK-based food manufacturer in the High Peak area. The role demands a time-served, multi-skilled engineer with a mechanical bias and capability to work independently.

The successful candidate will handle daily maintenance, drive improvements, and support PLC and automated machinery. The position operates on a 4on 4off shift pattern (6am-6pm/6pm-6am) with a salary of £52,331 plus pension and benefits.

Qualifications

• Apprentice Trained Engineer in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience of PLC systems & Automated machinery.
• Understanding of PPM systems.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out day-to-day engineering and maintenance activities to high standards.
• Maximising machine efficiencies.

An excellent opportunity has arisen with a UK owned leading food manufacturer, a growing and supportive organisation. The Company are extremely well established with over 85 years of manufacturing experience, and is a truly British manufacturer, and is privately owned with over 200 people on site in the High Peak. They are looking to expand their engineering team once again due to increased growth in their market share.

The Role

The ideal candidate will come from a multi skilled engineering background and should be able to work on their own initiative, be a time served engineer with a mechanical bias (but multi-skilled) and have fast moving manufacturing experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of day-to-day engineering and maintenance activities ensuring work is carried out to the highest standards and maximising machine efficiencies. If you have worked on PLC systems, it would be advantageous.

You will also work on variable speed drives, conveyors, multi-vac machines, gearboxes, pumps, general mechanical work on pneumatic/hydraulic systems and other manufacturing machinery. There is a huge amount of training on offer so the successful candidate will be in line to broaden their skills considerably.
