Job summary

ETS Consulting Ltd is representing a world-leading FMCG manufacturer; they are recruiting a Maintenance Engineer to join a fast-moving packaging operation in Leyland. The role covers maintenance on packaging lines, with a rotating 12-hour shift pattern and opportunities to improve line efficiency.

You will fault-find on PLC-controlled equipment, carry out planned and preventative maintenance, and work within a structured training matrix to develop your skills in line with new technologies.

Qualifications

• Apprentice trained engineer with HNC level or equivalent.
• Experience in FMCG production environments.
• Understanding of preventative/predictive maintenance (PPM).

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance activities on fast-moving packaging lines to maximise efficiencies.
• Carry out planned and preventative maintenance and fault-finding on PLC-controlled equipment.
• Benefit from a company training matrix for skill development.

Salary: £51,360 - £53,500 + Pension + Overtime + Bens

4 on, 5 off, 5 on, 4 off, 5 on, 5off rotating days and nights 12 hour-shift pattern

The Role

Due to further expansion, my client is looking to recruit into its engineering team; you will be involved in engineering and maintenance activities ensuring work is carried out to the highest standards and maximising machine efficiencies, working on several fast moving packaging lines.

The successful candidate will come from a manufacturing background and be able to work on planned and preventative maintenance with the ability to fault find on PLC controlled equipment.
