Job summary

Ata-Recruitment-Ltd, on behalf of our UK client, is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to ensure maximum equipment reliability and production uptime within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will respond to breakdowns, carry out planned maintenance, diagnose faults, read electrical drawings, and support continuous improvement across the site, with 4 on 4 off (days and nights).

You will have an engineering qualification and experience in multi-skilled maintenance; the role offers progression

Qualifications

• Recognised engineering qualification.
• Experience in multi-skilled maintenance environments.
• Strong fault-finding abilities in electrical and mechanical domains.
• Understanding of health and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM).
• Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
• Conduct fault finding and I/O checks on automated equipment.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across the site.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with procedures.

The Role

As a Maintenance Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring maximum equipment reliability and production uptime within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

• Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults

About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

• A recognised engineering qualification
• Experience working within a multi-skilled maintenance environment
• Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding abilities
• A good understanding of health and safety practices
• Experience within manufacturing, food, FMCG, or automated production environments would be advantageous
