Job summary

2 Sisters Food Group in Carlisle is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to perform routine and reactive maintenance on manufacturing machinery and ensure health and safety compliance. The role supports the Engineering Team and aims to improve equipment reliability and production efficiency.

The ideal candidate will have an NVQ Level 3 in mechanical or electrical engineering and experience in both planned and reactive maintenance, with the ability to work in a fast-paced FMCG environment and

• Collaborate closely with the Engineering Team and report to the Engineering Manager.

Maintenance Engineer

Location: Carlisle

Working Hours: 4 on 4 off 2 days 2 nights- 12 hour shift patterns (6am - 6pm)

About you:

We are seeking a proactive and motivated individual with a minimum of an NVQ Level 3 in either mechanical or electrical engineering who is ready to take the next step in their career.

We welcome candidates with a background in manufacturing who are eager for a new challenge and have experience in both planned and reactive maintenance roles.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to root cause analysis and problem-solving, possess excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively with colleagues at all levels, and be a true team player who is keen to learn from others, share knowledge and support the wider team.
