Job summary

2 Sisters Food Group is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer in Willand, South Devon. You will maintain site operations by overseeing engineering and maintenance repairs, handling breakdowns, and executing planned maintenance schedules for production machinery.

The role offers a continental shift pattern (4 on, 4 off) and day/night shifts, with an excellent benefits package. Ideal candidates have hands-on mechanical experience and a track record in fast-paced manufacturing environments.

Qualifications

• Time-Served Apprenticeship in Mechanical Maintenance or NVQ 3 as a minimum with related industry experience.
• Desirable: hydraulics, pneumatics, or fast-moving production machinery.
• Overtime potential and training opportunities; 33 days annual leave including bank holidays.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Engineering and Maintenance repairs on-site, largely for Production Machinery and some building repairs.
• Fixing rollers, small gearboxes, and small motors, as well as hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Supporting the team with machinery breakdowns as needed and contributing to some maintenance planning.
• Ensuring smooth operations across the site as part of a wider maintenance team.

About the Role
