Job summary

Hewett Recruitment in Ledbury is seeking a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to support reliability and performance of production equipment on a 4 on 4 off days & nights schedule.

You will diagnose faults, carry out reactive and preventative maintenance, and work with production teams to minimise downtime while maintaining high safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience as Maintenance Engineer in manufacturing.
• Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills.
• Experience working on production equipment.
• Understanding of PLC-controlled machinery.
• Good communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Carry out reactive and planned maintenance across production equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical faults.
• Support preventative maintenance programmes.

We're looking for a proactive Maintenance Engineer to support the reliability and performance of production equipment, helping to minimise downtime and keep operations running efficiently.

This is a great opportunity to join a busy manufacturing environment where you'll be involved in fault finding, breakdown response and planned preventative maintenance across a wide range of production machinery.

The Role

• Carry out reactive and planned maintenance across production equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve both electrical and mechanical faults.
• Support the delivery of preventative maintenance programmes.
• Work with production teams to minimise downtime and improve machine performance.
• Assist with continuous improvement activities and equipment upgrades.
• Maintain high standards of health, safety and housekeeping.

Essential Requirements

• Previous experience within a Maintenance Engineer or Multi Skilled Engineer position.
• Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills.
• Experience working on production or manufacturing equipment.
• Understanding of PLC-controlled machinery.
• Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic abilities.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.

Desirable

• Previous experience within an FMCG or food manufacturing environment.
• Experience working a rotating shift pattern.
