RG Setsquare is recruiting a Maintenance Electrician for their London data centre, based at Liverpool Street. The role focuses on the maintenance, inspection and repair of electrical systems in a state-of-the-art critical environment.

You will perform PPM and reactive maintenance, support UPS and generator systems, and ensure safety compliance. A clear career path and extensive training are on offer within this leading data centre operator.

Formación

• Electrical qualification such as NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds or equivalent.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
• Experience with planned and reactive electrical maintenance.
• Knowledge of critical infrastructure or industrial environments is advantageous.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Good health and safety awareness.

Responsabilidades

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance on electrical plant and equipment.
• Respond to reactive electrical faults and carry out repairs.
• Maintain critical electrical infrastructure including switchgear and distribution boards.
• Support UPS systems, generators and emergency power systems.
• Undertake testing, inspections and electrical compliance checks.
• Update maintenance records through CMMS.
• Support specialist contractors during service visits and project works.
• Assist with site improvements and energy efficiency initiatives.
• Maintain high standards of reliability across the facility.

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Maintenance Electrician to join a world-renowned data centre operator at their flagship London facility, in Liverpool Street.

Working within a state-of-the-art critical environment, you’ll be responsible for the maintenance, inspection and repair of electrical systems across the site, helping to ensure the continuous operation of infrastructure that supports mission-critical operations.

This role offers the perfect opportunity for an electrically qualified maintenance engineer seeking a stable Monday-to-Friday position, excellent training opportunities and genuine long-term career progression within the rapidly growing data centre industry.

The Role

• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on electrical plant and equipment.
• Responding to reactive electrical faults and carrying out repairs.
• Maintaining critical electrical infrastructure including switchgear, distribution boards and associated systems.
• Supporting the operation and maintenance of UPS systems, generators and emergency power systems.
• Undertaking testing, inspections and electrical compliance checks.
• Ensuring all works are completed in line with health and safety procedures and permit-to-work systems.
• Updating maintenance records through the CMMS system.
• Supporting specialist contractors during service visits and project works.
• Assisting with site improvement and energy efficiency initiatives.
• Maintaining high standards of reliability across the facility.

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience as a Maintenance Electrician, Electrical Engineer or Building Services Engineer.
• NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, Apprenticeship or equivalent electrical qualification.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
• Experience carrying out planned and reactive electrical maintenance.
• Knowledge of critical infrastructure, commercial buildings or industrial environments would be advantageous.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Good understanding of health and safety procedures.
• Experience working with CMMS systems is beneficial.
• A proactive and professional approach with excellent attention to detail.
