Job summary

RG Setsquare is seeking an experienced Maintenance Electrician for a flagship data centre near Liverpool Street, London. You will maintain critical electrical infrastructure to ensure uptime and safety in a world-class facility.

The role offers a £45,000 base with a 10% annual bonus, Monday to Friday days, private healthcare, pension, and extensive training. NVQ Level 3/City & Guilds, 18th Edition required, and a track record in data centres or critical environments.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds Electrical Qualification required.
• 18th Edition wiring regulations required.
• Experience carrying out both planned and reactive maintenance.
• Background in commercial buildings, critical environments, healthcare, or data centres.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across LV electrical systems, UPS, generators, switchgear, distribution boards.
• Maintain emergency lighting and building services equipment.
• Ensure safety, reliability and uptime of a mission-critical facility.

I'm currently working with a leading global data centre operator who are looking to add an experienced Maintenance Electrician to their engineering team at a flagship site near Liverpool Street, London.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an electrically qualified engineer who wants to move into, or further their career within, the rapidly growing data centre sector while enjoying the Monday-to-Friday work-life balance.

The Role

You’ll be carrying out both planned and reactive maintenance across a range of critical electrical infrastructure including:

• LV electrical systems
• UPS systems
• Generators
• Switchgear
• Distribution boards
• Emergency lighting systems
• Building services equipment

This is a hands‑on engineering role within a highly technical environment where safety, reliability and attention to detail are paramount.

We’re Keen to Speak with Engineers Who Have:

• NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds Electrical Qualification
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
• Experience carrying out planned and reactive maintenance
• Backgrounds in commercial buildings, critical environments, healthcare, banking, industrial sites, manufacturing or data centres
• Strong fault‑finding and problem‑solving abilities
