Job summary

PRS is recruiting an Electrical Maintenance Engineer for a data centre in Slough. The role is a permanent, days-only position on site, offering a competitive salary with overtime and full benefits.

You will maintain critical electrical systems in a modern AI-ready data centre campus, performing PPM, reactive maintenance, and small installations. The ideal candidate will have NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation and City & Guilds 2391, with strong fault-finding skills and a proactive approach

Qualifications

• Must have hands-on fault-finding and diagnostic skills in electrical systems.
• Ability to work independently with safety-first mindset.
• Experience in commercial/critical environments and understanding of safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) of electrical infrastructure.
• Perform reactive electrical maintenance and fault finding to reduce downtime.
• Carry out electrical repairs and small installations; upgrade LED lighting where required.
• Inspect, test, and ensure compliance with current regulations and standards.
• Maintain critical electrical systems to high safety and operational standards; work within a multi-skilled team on a static site.

I'm recruiting for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join the day engineering team at a modern state-of-the-art AI-ready data centre Campus, carrying out planned and reactive maintenance on critical electrical infrastructure. Whether your current title is Maintenance Engineer, Electrical Maintenance Engineer, Data Centre Engineer, Building Services Engineer or Electrical Engineer, I'd be keen to speak with you.

The role includes:

• Planned preventative maintenance (PPM)

We're looking for:

• NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent in Electrical Installation
• City & Guilds 2391 Inspection & Testing
• Experience in commercial building maintenance, facilities management, data centres or other critical environments
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
• Good understanding of Health & Safety and electrical compliance
• A proactive approach with the ability to work independently
