Job summary

Calibre Search is seeking an experienced Maintenance Electrician to operate in Welwyn Garden City and surrounding Hertfordshire areas. You will perform electrical and mechanical maintenance on retail sites, with a strong electrical background and 18th Edition qualification.

The role includes planned and reactive maintenance, training provided for mechanical tasks, and progression opportunities within a leading facilities management company.

Qualifications

• NVQ/SVQ Level 3 in electrical installations / parts 1 & 2 or an equivalent apprenticeship.
• 18th Edition qualification is required.

Responsibilities

• Support other technicians with major or minor maintenance work.
• Complete all necessary PPMs and reactive maintenance schedules within agreed timescales and ensure paperwork is completed accurately.
• Prioritise and complete minor maintenance and repair work to agreed timescales.
• Ensure all tools and equipment needed for maintenance are available and serviceable.
• Occasionally attend other sites within the cluster to carry out work.
• Work with colleagues to maintain quality standards and professional conduct.
• Carry out tasks in line with KPI requirements.
• Update the Mercury system with live job updates.

Maintenance Electrician / Multi-skilled Engineer (Electrical and Mechanical) Welwyn Garden City and surrounding areas in Hertfordshire including Hoddesdon and Borehamwood

Salary / Package

Basic + standby = £41,324.95 total

Composed of: Basic £(phone number removed) + £2535 in standby payments + £1500 competency payment added to salary after completion of catering training)

Mon-Fri 40hrs

Travel time paid after first 30m at overtime rate

Overtime 1.5x Monday to Friday, 2x Saturday and Sunday

Call Out - 1 in 4 weeks

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Maintenance Electrician to join one of the country's leading Facilities Management companies working in Welwyn Garden City and the surrounding areas in Hertfordshire

Ideal candidate location: Welwyn Garden City / Borehamwood / Hoddesdon / Hertfordshire

The ideal candidate will have a strong electrical background and hold electrical qualifications such as NVQ/SVQ Level 3 in electrical installations or maintenance, and 18th edition as a minimum.

This Maintenance Electrician role will involve working at a number of retail sites in the region undertaking a range of building maintenance duties. The purpose of this role will be carrying out planned and reactive maintenance on electrical and mechanical equipment. Mechanical maintenance will be a significant portion of the role however full training will be provided.

Duties

• Support other technicians with any major or minor maintenance work.
• Complete all necessary PPM's and reactive maintenance schedules within agreed timescales and to ensure all necessary paperwork is completed accurately and as required.
• Prioritising and completing minor maintenance and repair work to agreed timescales.
• Ensuring all tools and equipment necessary to complete minor maintenance and repairs are always available and serviceable.
• Although aligned to an area for the purpose of PPM completion there may be times that the Technician will be required to attend other sites within the cluster to carry out work.
• Work with company and client colleagues to ensure laid-down standards of quality are always maintained.
• Represent the company in a professional manner at all times and develop a good working relationship with client and colleagues.
• Carry out all tasks in accordance with specific KPI's.
• Monitor and update the Mercury system accurately ensuring live job updates from you and your team at all times.
