Meridian Business Support Ltd is assisting a well-established M&E contractor in the North-West with a Maintenance Electrician role covering areas like Preston, Lancaster, Blackpool, Wigan and Blackburn. Typical salary range is £40k–£45k per year, with overtime, call-outs and a company vehicle provided.

Qualifications

• Qualified Electrician (Installation or Approved) with JIB Gold card.
• 2391 or equivalent Inspection and Testing qualifications desirable but not essential.
• Proven experience in commercial electrical maintenance.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnosing and repairing electrical faults.
• Performing routine inspections and preventative maintenance.
• EICR Testing, Emergency Lighting Testing, DB health checks.
• Installing, upgrading, and maintaining electrical equipment.
• Responding to reactive maintenance requests.
• Ensuring compliance with all electrical and safety regulations.

Requirements for this role:

• Qualified Electrician - Installation or Approved Electrician JIB Gold card
• 2391 or equivalent Inspection and Testing qualifications desirable but NOT essential
• Proven experience in commercial electrical maintenance
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, safety standards, and fault-finding
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Good communication, teamwork, and customer service skills
• You would need to undergo an Enhanced DBS check
• Full and valid UK Driving Licence
