Job summary

Project Start Recruitment Solutions Limited is assisting an established facilities maintenance provider in recruiting an experienced Maintenance Electrician for the West Midlands. The role covers PPM, reactive maintenance, fault finding, repairs and minor installations across commercial properties.

You will join a team delivering planned and reactive electrical services, including lighting and distribution systems, with a 1-in-4 callout rota and a salary of £42,000–£44,000 per year, plus

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds Electrical Installation or equivalent.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
• 2391 Inspection & Testing – ESSENTIAL.
• Proven experience in commercial electrical maintenance.
• Strong electrical fault‑finding and diagnostic skills.
• Good knowledge of commercial electrical systems.
• Full UK driving licence.
• DBS check will be carried out.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative electrical maintenance (PPM).
• Attend reactive maintenance and electrical breakdowns.
• Diagnose and rectify electrical faults.
• Complete electrical repairs and minor installation works.
• Carry out inspection and testing of electrical installations.
• Maintain lighting, emergency lighting and electrical distribution systems.
• Fault-find on electrical control systems and associated equipment.

JOB PURPOSE

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

• NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds Electrical Installation or equivalent.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
• 2391 Inspection & Testing – ESSENTIAL.

• Due to the nature of the role, a full DBS check will be carried out.

SALARY & BENEFITS

Our client is offering a salary of £42,000-£44,000 per annum, depending on experience.
