Responsibilities

• Completing maintenance records, reports and compliance documentation.
• Responding to breakdowns and resolving faults efficiently.
• Supervising subcontractors and ensuring safe working practices.

Job Description

I am currently working with a leading Facilities Management company who are looking to recruit an experienced Maintenance Electrician / Electrical Engineer to join their team, working across two commercial sites in Manchester.

Our client is looking for a fully qualified Electrician with experience in commercial building maintenance to carry out planned and reactive maintenance across a range of electrical and mechanical building services.

This is a permanent opportunity offering long-term stability, overtime opportunities and the potential to earn £50,000+ per annum.

Daily Responsibilities Will Include:

• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance.
• Electrical fault finding, repairs and general maintenance.
• Maintaining electrical systems and associated building services.
• Assisting with HVAC maintenance, fault finding and BMS systems.
• Completing maintenance tasks through CAFM systems.
• Responding to breakdowns and resolving faults efficiently.
• Supervising subcontractors and ensuring safe working practices.
• Completing maintenance records, reports and compliance documentation.
• Ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with Health & Safety regulations.

Requirements for the Role

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671).
• City & Guilds 2391 Inspection & Testing.
• Previous experience in commercial building maintenance.
• Good understanding of PPM and reactive maintenance.
• Knowledge of HVAC, BMS and general building services.
• Experience using CAFM systems.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• IPAF, PASMA, asbestos awareness and first aid training would be advantageous.
