Overview

Maintenance Electrician - South West, working with a large facilities management company covering commercial properties in the South West region (M5 corridor). This is a mobile role with travel time paid on top of salary.

Compensation and Benefits

Salary: £17.50-£18.50 per hour. Travel time is paid; door-to-door travel paid on top of salary. Average 45-50 hours per week including travel. Overtime paid after 8 hours. Match up to 25 days holiday. Pension. Bonus. Other benefits.

Role Description

You will be responsible for all aspects of electrical works on a reactive basis across a portfolio of properties (offices, retail, MOD, schools). Some testing and inspection are involved as well as assisting other engineers on site. You should be familiar with both planned and reactive electrical works, knowledge of Fire Alarms, Nurse Call Systems, and statutory compliance testing.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out reactive and emergency breakdown tasks and complete the associated paperwork.
• Be on a call-out rota to provide the client with full out-of-hours cover.
• Oversee visiting subcontractors with regards to the standard of work and Health and Safety.
• Adopt a flexible attitude in relation to assisting on other properties within the portfolio.
• Carry out all duties in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Understand and complete all work-related documentation accurately and on time.
• Carry out work safely and diligently.
• Comply with all Health and Safety policies and procedures.

Applicants Must Possess

• Fully qualified Electrician
• 17th Edition or 18th Edition
• Testing and Inspection desirable but not essential
• Experience working within commercial environments
• Fire Alarm and Nurse Call system experience
• HVAC knowledge advantageous
• Excellent communication skills
• Driving License
