Job summary

Project Start Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Mobile Maintenance Electrician to perform on-site electrical maintenance across the North West, including commercial blocks and industrial units. The role may require nights away on occasion and demands strong knowledge of electrical systems with 5+ years in similar roles.

The successful candidate will maintain lighting, emergency lighting, distribution boards, and associated systems, with a focus on safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Apprenticeship in electrical trades is required.
• AM2 certification is essential.
• Knowledge of 18th Edition wiring regulations is required.
• 2391 Testing & Inspection is beneficial but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and reactive maintenance on electrical systems.
• Deliver planned preventive maintenance and responsive repair services for electrical installations, including lighting and distribution boards.
• Diagnose faults, repair, replace, and upgrade lighting, wiring, and electrical components with BS 7671 compliance.
• Conduct electrical testing, rewires, and emergency lighting maintenance.
• Handle basic mechanical PPMs.
• Maintain fire alarms, security systems, and automated controls.
• Ensure all work meets health and safety standards and maintain maintenance records.

MOBILE MAINTENANCE ELECTRICIAN

Our client are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Electrical Maintenance Engineer to carry out mobile maintenance works in the North West

Their client base include but are not limited to Commercial office blocks & industrial units, Retail & Student Accommodation.

We are looking for a candidate who has knowledge of electrical systems and over 5 years experience in similar Electrical/ HVAC/ Maintenance Engineer type role.

Please not there may be a requirement for Nights away on occasion.

JOB RESPONSBILITIES

• Perform routine and reactive maintenance on electrical systems
• Deliver planned preventative maintenance and responsive repair services for electrical installations, including internal and external lighting, emergency lighting, and distribution boards
• Diagnose faults, repair, replace, and upgrade lighting, wiring, and electrical components, ensuring compliance with BS 7671.
• Conduct electrical testing, rewires, and emergency lighting maintenance.
• Handle basic Mechanical Ppms
• Maintain fire alarms, security systems, and automated controls.
• Ensure all work meets health and safety standards, keeping accurate maintenance records.
