Job summary

Calibre Search is recruiting an experienced Maintenance Electrician for the Bedford area within a leading facilities management context. The role involves servicing multiple retail sites, carrying out planned and reactive maintenance on electrical and mechanical plant.

Candidate must hold NVQ/SVQ Level 3 in electrical installations or maintenance and be 18th edition qualified. A comprehensive salary and benefits package is included, with potential for progression within the company.

Responsibilities

• Support other technicians with maintenance work
• Complete all necessary PPMs and reactive maintenance schedules within timescales
• Prioritise and complete minor maintenance and repairs on time
• Ensure tools and equipment are available and serviceable
• May attend other sites within the cluster as needed
• Work with colleagues to maintain quality standards
• Represent the company professionally with client and colleagues
• Carry out tasks in line with KPIs
• Monitor and update Mercury system with live job updates

Job description

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Maintenance Electrician to join one of the country's leading Facilities Management companies working in the Bedford and surrounding area.

The ideal maintenance electrician will have a strong electrical background and hold electrical qualifications such as NVQ/SVQ Level 3 in electrical installations or maintenance, and 18th edition as a minimum.

The role will be working as part of a team working at a number of retail sites in the Bedford, Northampton and Cambridge area undertaking a range of building maintenance duties. The purpose of this role carry out planned and reactive maintenance on electrical and mechanical plant.

Duties

• Support other technicians with any major or minor maintenance work.
• Complete all necessary PPM's and reactive maintenance schedules within agreed timescales and to ensure all necessary paperwork is completed accurately and as required.
• Prioritising and completing minor maintenance and repair work to agreed timescales.
• Ensuring all tools and equipment necessary to complete minor maintenance and repairs are always available and serviceable.
• Although aligned to an area for the purpose of PPM completion there may be times that the Technician will be required to attend other sites within the cluster to carry out work.
• Work with company and client colleagues to ensure laid-down standards of quality are always maintained.
• Represent the company in a professional manner at all times and develop a good working relationship with client and colleagues.
• Carry out all tasks in accordance with specific KPI's.
• Monitor and update the Mercury system accurately ensuring live job updates from you and your team at all times.

Qualifications

• NVQ/SVQ Level 3 in electrical installations / maintenance
• Or recognized apprenticeship equivalent
• 18th Edition

Salary / Package

• Basic Salary - £41,325 (including standby)
• Paid Travel Time
• Overtime rates 1.5x monday to friday, 2x saturdays and sundays
