Job summary

Quantum Care is seeking a dedicated caretaker to join our team at our Home in the region. You will carry out routine inspections and report maintenance needs to the Housekeeping Manager, helping to maintain a safe, clean environment for residents.

Responsibilities include cleaning outdoor areas, assisting with moving furniture, and providing flexible support across the Home. A proactive, independent worker with good communication will thrive in this role, with DBS checks and overseas police

Qualifications

• Experience in a caretaker, maintenance, facilities, or building services role.
• Practical skills to carry out basic repairs and upkeep.
• Proactive approach to identify and resolve issues before they arise.
• Confident working independently and managing workload.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise tasks.
• Commitment to maintaining safe, clean environments.
• Good communication with residents, visitors, contractors and colleagues.
• Basic IT skills for reporting maintenance issues and completing records.
• Overseas Police Check/Certificate of Good Conduct may be required if you have lived or worked outside the UK for 12 months or more, or spent significant time overseas; Enhanced DBS check is mandatory.

• Undertaking additional duties to support the smooth operation of the Home as directed by the Home Manager or Housekeeping Manager.

• A flexible, can-do attitude and willingness to support the wider team as needed., An Overseas Police Check/ Certificate of Good Conduct may be required if you have lived or worked outside the UK for 12 Months or more, spent a significant period overseas, or worked abroad in a position of trust. This will be in addition to a mandatory Enhanced DBS check.
