Job summary

Quantum Care is seeking a Care Assistant at Providence Court in Baldock to provide compassionate, person-centred care to residents.

This permanent role is offered as full time or part time, with 20–35 hours per week and shifts from 7.30am to 2.30pm or 2.30pm to 9.30pm, including weekends. Pay is £12.96 per hour on weekdays and £13.96 per hour on weekends. Training and DBS checks are provided to support your growth and wellbeing.

We are seeking a Care Assistant to join our welcoming team at Providence Court Care Home in Baldock. A 61 bed charming historic market town with excellent local amenities, transport links and a strong community feel, offering residents the perfect blend of convenience and countryside living.

As a Care Assistant, you will provide compassionate person‑centered care and support residents with respect and dignity to maintain independence.

What You’ll Bring

• It is not necessary to have previous experience of working in a similar care environment because, as long as you are an empathetic individual who has a positive attitude and good communication skills, our first‑class training will do the rest.
• You will be able to undertake all aspects of caring for older people with compassion and respect in order to meet the physical, emotional and social needs of our residents.
• Our staff have access to first class induction training and ongoing learning and development opportunities including the opportunity to work towards industry recognised qualifications.
• Our Homes operate on a 24/7, 365-day basis therefore you will need to be able to work shifts (including weekends, evenings and Bank Holidays).
• You must be aged 18 years or over to apply for this job.

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Providing personal care and support, including assistance with washing, dressing, grooming and toileting, as well as assisting with meals, hydration and nutritional care.
