Job summary

Quantum Care is seeking a compassionate Maintenance Coordinator for our Bishop's Stortford home. You will maintain a high standard of care home environments, perform routine repairs and support residents with dignity and respect, contributing to a hotel-style living experience.

You will work 37.5 hours per week, with higher pay on weekends, and participate in first-class in-house training and secure DBS checks. Join a values-driven team focused on wellbeing and quality of life for residents.

Qualifications

  • Experience in caretaker, maintenance, facilities, or building services role.
  • Practical skills for basic repairs and upkeep.
  • Proactive approach to identify and resolve issues.
  • Ability to work independently and manage workload.
  • Strong organisational skills and task prioritisation.
  • Good communication when interacting with residents, visitors, contractors and colleagues.
  • Basic IT skills for reporting issues and keeping records.
  • Flexible, can-do attitude to support the wider team.

Responsibilities

  • Painting and decorating
  • Conduction minor repairs
  • Replacing light bulbs and other features
  • Hanging pictures and fittings
  • Repairing or replacing door furniture
  • Installing shelves and TV brackets
  • Replacing stained or damaged ceiling tiles
  • Carrying out routine inspections and reporting needs to the Housekeeping Manager
  • Cleaning outdoor areas such as footpaths, waste and parking zones, including snow/ice clearance
  • Assisting with moving furniture including tables and hospital beds
  • Undertaking additional duties to support smooth operation of the Home, as directed by management

Maintenance Coordinator

Contract: Full Time - Perm

Hour: 37.5 hours per week

Pay: £13.70 per hour weekdays & £14.20 per hour weekends

Shift Times: 9am to 5.30pm - Weekdays and alternative Weekends

Location: Newland Avenue, Bishops Stortford, CM23 2UW

We are seeking a Maintenance Coordinator to join our Hotel Styled Boutique feel Care Home in Bishop's Stortford, a contemporary luxury 78-bed residential home. Elm View Care Home is positioned as a modern, purpose-built care home with a strong focus on high-end facilities, hotel-style living, and personalised care.

As a Maintenance Coordinator, you will provide compassionate person-cantered care and support residents with respect and dignity to maintain independence.

What You'll Bring

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities
