Job summary

Quantum Care's Anson Court in Welwyn Garden City seeks a Maintenance Coordinator to keep our 75-bed home well-presented and safe. You’ll carry out repairs, decorating, and general upkeep while supporting residents with dignity and independence.

Qualifications

• Experience in a caretaker, maintenance, facilities or building services role.
• Ability to perform basic repairs and maintenance tasks.
• Proactive approach to identify and resolve issues before they arise.
• Good communication and a friendly, professional approach with residents and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Painting and decorating.
• Replacing light bulbs and other features.
• Hanging pictures and fittings.
• Repairing or replacing door furniture.
• Installing shelves and TV brackets.
• Replacing stained or damaged ceiling tiles.
• Carrying out routine inspections and reporting maintenance needs.
• Cleaning outdoor areas and assisting with moving furniture.
• Undertaking additional duties to support the home as directed.

Maintenance Coordinator to join our welcoming Care Home

Anson Court based in

Welwyn Garden City. Anson Court is a 75 bed residential care home which is welcoming, values driven based team where collaboration, compassion, respect and person-centred care is at the heart of everything they do.

As a

Maintenance Coordinator, you will provide compassionate person-cantered care and support residents with respect and dignity to maintain independence.

What You’ll Bring

• Experience in a caretaker, maintenance, facilities, or building services role.
• Practical skills to carry out basic repairs, maintenance tasks, and general upkeep.
• A proactive approach with the ability to identify and resolve issues before they become problems.
• Confidence working independently and managing your own workload.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
• A commitment to maintaining safe, clean, and well-presented environments.
• Good communication skills and a friendly, professional approach when interacting with residents, visitors, contractors, and colleagues.
• Basic IT skills for reporting maintenance issues and completing records.
• A flexible, can-do attitude and willingness to support the wider team as needed.

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Painting and decorating
• Replacing light bulbs and other features
• Hanging pictures and fittings
• Repairing or replacing door furniture
• Installing shelves and TV Brackets
• Replacing stained or damaged Ceiling tiles
• Carrying out routine inspections of the Home and reporting maintenance needs to the Housekeeping Manager
• Cleaning outdoor areas such as footpaths, waste and parking zones, including snow and ice clearance
• Assisting with moving furniture, including tables and hospital beds
• Undertaking additional duties, as requested, to support the smooth operation of the Home, as directed by the Home Manager or Housekeeping Manager
