Job summary

Sedgemoor Manor School is recruiting a Maintenance Assistant to join the on-site maintenance team. You will handle reactive day-to-day maintenance across the school and its grounds, ensuring safe and well‑maintained facilities.

You will also support other homes in the community, liaise with contractors when on site, and respond to ad-hoc requests from management. A proactive, DIY mindset and reliable work ethic are essential.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a maintenance position.
• Good knowledge of COSHH and health and safety; training provided.
• Organised, adaptable and thorough in approach.

Responsibilities

• Carry out reactive day-to-day maintenance tasks within site and grounds.
• Assist in supporting other homes in the community and liaise with contractors on site.
• Handle ad-hoc requests from management as needed.
