Job description

Job Title: Mobile Maintenance Assistant

Equans, a renowned energies & services contractor and part of the Bouygues group, specializes in the design, construction, and maintenance of buildings and critical infrastructure worldwide. We are currently seeking a Mobile Maintenance Assistant to join our facilities team on the Greater Manchester Police maintenance contract, covering Cheadle police station and other police stations across Greater Manchester.

This is a permanent full-time position, working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, from 8am to 5pm, including participation in an on-call rota.

Key Responsibilities:

• Report to the Maintenance Manager and undertake assigned jobs via PDA/mobile devices.
• Respond promptly to breakdowns and complete all related paperwork accurately and efficiently.
• Support manual tasks such as relocations, tidying, cleaning estates areas, and plant rooms.
• Carry out routine maintenance, repairs, and cleaning activities independently or within a team.
• Ensure availability of cleaning materials and chemicals at all sites.
• Attend training sessions as required for contract compliance and personal development.
• Work on a 1-in-5 on-call rota, which includes weekends.
• Desirable: Experience in maintenance roles and PPM completion.
• Possess good customer care and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Basic fabric handyperson skills and knowledge of health and safety procedures.
• Hold a full valid UK driving license for travel between sites.
• Must obtain and maintain relevant vetting clearance as required by the client.
