Job description

We are seeking a full-time Maintenance Assistant to join our team in Bury. The role involves working 39 hours per week: 9am to 6pm from Monday to Thursday, and 9am to 5pm on Friday.

Responsibilities include:

1. Maintaining a safe working environment at all times.
2. Supporting production and warehouse teams with breakdowns.
3. Performing scheduled maintenance of facilities and plant.
4. Maintaining good administrative practices, including using company-specific ERPs and computer systems.
5. Carrying out PAT testing.
6. Keeping stock levels of critical parts for the plant.
7. Shadowing Maintenance Engineers to learn processes and procedures.

Candidate requirements:

• A current FLT license is required; training is available if needed.
• Good communication skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage time effectively.
• A proactive, problem-solving attitude with initiative.
• Technical knowledge, ideally studying towards or planning to study towards a Level 2 qualification.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• An interest in electrical and mechanical systems.
