Job summary

NPR Recruit is seeking a Maintenance Assistant Engineer on behalf of our client, a Global Engineering Automation Leader, in the United Kingdom. The role focuses on supporting automation equipment, fault-finding, and basic maintenance within a manufacturing environment.

You will read basic drawings and work with electrical or mechanical systems while contributing to continual site improvement. The position includes training, progression opportunities, and a competitive OTE.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing, production, or FMCG environments.
• Proficiency in electrical or mechanical systems and fault-finding.
• Ability to read and understand basic drawings/instructions.
• Capable of prioritising basic faults and assisting engineers.
• Commitment to Health & Safety legislation and site rules.
• Experience supporting equipment servicing and continual improvement.

Responsibilities

• Carry out initial responses to automation equipment faults.
• Prioritise basic system faults and escalate complex issues.
• Support Engineers with equipment servicing and preventative maintenance.
• Assist with fault resolution for mechanical/electrical faults.
• Contribute to continual improvement of the site and processes.

Maintenance Assistant Engineer

• Work experience in a manufacturing, production, or FMCG environment.
• Basic work within an electrical or mechanical environment
• To carry out an initial response to our automation equipment
• Prioritise basic system faults
• Support and assist Engineers with equipment servicing
• Compliant with Health & Safety legislation.
• Assist with the resolution of any equipment faults Mechanical/Electrical
• The Assistant Maintenance Engineer will support the continual improvement of the site

Knowledge - Maintenance Assistant Engineer

• Ability to read and understand basic drawings and instructions
• Have a logical approach to fault-finding and resolution

Qualifications
