Job summary

Pioneer Selection is seeking a Maintenance Assistant in Coalville for a state‑of‑the‑art automated factory. You will perform electrical and mechanical maintenance, fault‑finding and preventative tasks to maximise uptime and efficiency.

The role requires multi‑skilled experience in manufacturing, PLC modification capability, and an engineering qualification. Competitive salary with overtime and a strong benefits package including pension and gym access.

Qualifications

• Multi-skilled maintenance experience within an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Ability to modify PLC programmes as a minimum.
• Electrical and mechanical fault-finding experience.
• Hands-on maintenance in a fast-paced factory.
• Engineering qualification in Electrical or Mechanical.
• Experience working in UK manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Carry out electrical and mechanical maintenance on automated production machinery.

Position: Maintenance Assistant

Salary: £37,000 + Overtime (£1,000–£2,000 on top) + Pension

Location: Coalville

Shifts: 4's and 5's days and nights

About the Role

A fantastic opportunity for a strong Maintenance Assistant. This is a dream role for any engineer, working in a state‑of‑the‑art fully automated fast‑paced factory. The site has recently been invested in and offers a great place to work for a Maintenance Assistant who wants to develop their career both technically and/or into management.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for carrying out electrical and mechanical maintenance, fault‑finding, and planned preventative maintenance on a range of fully automated production machinery, ensuring maximum uptime and efficiency.

Requirements

• Multi‑skilled maintenance experience within an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Ability to modify PLC programmes as a minimum.
• Hands‑on experience with pre‑planned, reactive and breakdown maintenance in a fast‑paced industrial factory.
• Electrical and mechanical fault‑finding experience.
• Engineering qualification (Electrical or Mechanical).
• Experience working within a manufacturing environment.
• Previous experience working as a Maintenance Engineer in the UK.
• Experience with working on PLCs, ideally being able to fault‑find using inputs and outputs.
