Job summary

NPR Recruit is seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a global engineering automation business in the UK. You will service and repair a variety of automation equipment within a site-based team, applying your multi-skilled expertise to maintain continuous production flow.

The successful candidate will have NVQ3 or equivalent, basic PLC fault-finding, and demonstrable FMCG/automation experience. A clear progression path, training, and certifications are offered with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical or Mechanical or equivalent apprenticeship.
• Experience in FMCG/automation environment.
• Basic PLC fault-finding knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Complete servicing on a variety of automation equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults and perform repairs.
• Respond promptly to faults to maintain production flow.
• Ensure on-site spares are kept at required levels.
• Support site maintenance within a team-based environment.

The right Maintenance Engineer will support site maintenance and repairs within a site-based team environment, utilising a purpose-built automation system.

Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer

Complete all servicing on a variety of automation equipment

• Complete all repairs
• Diagnosis of Mechanical/Electrical faults and repairs
• Positively react to any faults
• Ensuring flow at all times
• Ensure on-site spares are kept to the required level
• A successful multi-skilled maintenance engineer will ideally have experience in an FMCG, automation, manufacturing, or production environment.
• NVQ 3 or apprenticeship-trained in Electrical or Mechanical, or ONC, HNC.
• Basic PLC fault-finding in/outs
