Job summary

NPR Recruit is seeking an Assistant Maintenance Engineer to join a Global Engineering Automation Leader. The role offers OTE £43,000, with a path for career progression and comprehensive training.

You will perform initial fault responses in manufacturing environments, assist with servicing, and contribute to site improvements while adhering to safety standards. Ideal applicants have NVQ2/3 or an engineering apprenticeship, basic electrical/mechanical knowledge, and the ability to interpret

Qualifications

• NVQ 2 or 3, or an Apprenticeship in engineering (mechanical or electrical).
• Ability to read and understand basic drawings and instructions.
• Comply with Health & Safety legislation and support equipment servicing.

Responsibilities

• Initial response to automation equipment faults and prioritising basic faults.
• Assist Engineers with equipment servicing and fault resolution.
• Support continual improvement of the site and processes.

Assistant Maintenance Engineer

• Work experience in a manufacturing, production, or FMCG environment.


• Basic work within an electrical or mechanical environment


• To carry out an initial response to our automation equipment


• Prioritise basic system faults


• Support and assist Engineers with equipment servicing


• Compliant with Health & Safety legislation.


• Assist with the resolution of any equipment faults – Mechanical/Electrical


• The Assistant Maintenance Engineer will support the continual improvement of the site

Knowledge - Assistant Maintenance Engineer

• Ability to read and understand basic drawings and instructions


• Have a logical approach to fault-finding and resolution
