Job summary

NPR Recruit is seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a Global Engineering Automation team. The role focuses on servicing and fault diagnosis across automation equipment, ensuring production flow and site reliability.

An OTE of £62,000 is indicated with a strong development path and certifications available. Ideal candidates will have NVQ 3 or an apprenticeship in Electrical or Mechanical, or ONC/HNC, plus experience in FMCG or manufacturing environments.

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining and servicing automation equipment.
• Ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical faults and perform repairs.
• Proactive fault response to maintain production flow.
• On-site spares management to required levels.

Responsibilities

• Complete servicing on a variety of automation equipment.
• Carry out repairs and fault diagnosis (mechanical/electrical).
• Respond promptly to faults to minimise downtime.
• Ensure continuous flow and manage on-site spares.

The right Maintenance Engineer will support site maintenance and repairs within a site-based team environment, utilising a purpose-built automation system.

Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer

Complete all servicing on a variety of automation equipment

• Complete all repairs
• Diagnosis of Mechanical/Electrical faults and repairs
• Positively react to any faults
• Ensuring flow at all times
• Ensure on-site spares are kept to the required level

• A successful multi-skilled maintenance engineer will ideally have experience in an FMCG, automation, manufacturing, or production environment.
• NVQ 3 or apprenticeship-trained in Electrical or Mechanical, or ONC, HNC.
• Basic PLC fault-finding in/outs
