Job summary

Harbour Beach Club in South Hallsands, England is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to join our team. You will be responsible for basic maintenance, painting to a high standard, and coordinating with outsourced contractors and suppliers to maintain safety and quality.

The role requires a keen eye for detail, good communication, and solid knowledge of Health & Safety regulations. You will work as part of a team in a busy beachside setting, with opportunities for development within Harbour Hotels.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrics and painting/decorating/carpentry.
• Time management and clean work ethics.
• Ability to work alone and as part of a team.
• Adaptability and problem solving.
• Knowledge of pool/spa operations.
• Knowledge of Legionella testing.

Responsibilities

• Daily walk of the building; report to Duty Manager / Maintenance Manager.
• General maintenance tasks, including painting.
• Attend morning and afternoon meetings.
• Carry out scheduled checks (daily, weekly, monthly, annual).

The role… We are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Assistant to join the team. As Maintenance Assistant you will be confident in all basic maintenance skills. Painting and decorating to high standard is a big part of the job. You will need to have a keen eye for detail, be an effective communicator and possess excellent knowledge of Health & Safety regulations. Someone who is organised in their work and reacts quickly and effectively when required. Working as part of a team, you will be required to liaise directly with outsourced contractors and suppliers.

Key Job Responsibilities

• Daily walk of the building, Report to Duty Manager / Maintenance Manager.
• General Maintenance work i.e painting
• Attend morning & afternoon meetings
• Daily, Weekly, Monthly & Annual check on all products

Attributes / Experience

• Basic knowledge of Plumbing, Electrics and Painting and Decorating/ Carpentry
