Job summary

Hilton stores in the city centre are seeking a Maintenance Assistant to uphold a safe, well-maintained environment for guests and staff. You will perform electrical checks, carry out routine maintenance, and coordinate with contractors to complete projects on schedule.

The role focuses on delivering high standards with energy, adaptability, and excellent guest interaction, while supporting the maintenance team and housekeeping to keep operations smooth.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining grounds by clearing leaves and gritting paths when necessary.
• Inspecting, fixing and maintaining equipment and machinery.
• Completing scheduled maintenance tasks.
• Conducting preventative maintenance and identifying when items need upgrading or replacing.
• Liaising with contractors to ensure that they complete projects on time.
• Painting and decorating.
• Ensuring rooms are maintained and fully equipped.
• Carrying out mandatory checks on all equipment.
• Work closely with the housekeeping team to ensure all maintenance issues are rectified as quickly as possible.
• Deputise for the Maintenance Manager.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A MAINTENANCE ASSISTANT AT OUR HOTEL

As Maintenance Assistant, you will maintain a safe and secure environment for yourself, guests, and colleagues in line with the company's security, operating and environmental policies by carrying out mandatory checks on electrical equipment. Finally, you will ensure you are well organised to guarantee minimum impact to guests and colleagues, whilst also delivering a consistently high standard of work and attention to detail during each shift.
