Job summary

Mitie is seeking a Maintenance Assistant in Brough to support planned and reactive maintenance across the site. You will assist engineers with building services, plant equipment and fabric tasks to ensure safety, compliance and customer satisfaction.

Role involves general maintenance, inspections, and record-keeping using CAFM systems. A full UK driving licence is desirable and security clearance may be required for site access.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a maintenance, facilities management, construction, or trade support role.
• Full UK driving licence desirable.
• Ability to obtain and maintain the security clearance required to work on a BAE Systems site.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of planned and reactive maintenance activities across site.
• Assist skilled engineers in maintaining building services, plant equipment and general facilities.
• Undertake general building fabric maintenance including repairs to doors, ceilings, walls, flooring, fixtures and fittings.
• Support engineers with mechanical, electrical and HVAC maintenance activities.
• Complete basic plumbing, painting, decorating and handyman tasks as required.
• Carry out routine inspections and report defects, hazards and maintenance issues.
• Assist with site moves, furniture installations and minor project works.
• Maintain accurate records of completed work using the company's CAFM system or relevant documentation.

We're looking for a Maintenance Assistant to support the delivery of planned and reactive maintenance activities across site. You will assist skilled engineers in maintaining building services, plant equipment and general facilities to ensure a safe and compliant working environment. The role will involve carrying out a range of general maintenance and fabric tasks in support of the site maintenance team, while contributing to the achievement of service levels, compliance requirements and customer satisfaction standards.
