Job summary

Mitie Group plc. is seeking a Mobile Fabric Engineer to support delivery of building maintenance and fabric services across our estate in Essex.

You will perform maintenance and minor repairs to joinery, plumbing, electrical systems and general building fabric to ensure high standards of upkeep. You'll participate in planned preventative work, 2-person jobs, and out-of-hours on-call roughly every eight weeks, with access to virtual GP, Salary Finance support, and flexible lifestyle benefits

Qualifications

• Comply with all safety policies and procedures and maintain a positive Health and Safety Culture.
• Ensure that service delivery meets the requirements of performance targets, KPIs and Health & Safety.
• Out of Hours call out approx every 8 weeks, subject to probationary period.

Responsibilities

• Carry out Building Maintenance Technician duties, including joinery repairs, fabric repairs, painting and plumbing tasks; gutter clearance.
• Planned Preventative Maintenance tasks; lath & plaster inspections; tiling repairs; door repairs and door jamb work; ceiling tile maintenance; general facility repairs.
• Ensure timely delivery of general building and fabric maintenance.
• Support for all general handyman duties for 2-man working and absence cover.
• Undertake minor works/alterations; keep equipment clean, in working order and sent for repair as needed.

Role: Mobile Fabric Engineer
Hours: 40 hrs/week
Location: Essex, CM8 3UN

Role Responsibilities:

• Carry out Building Maintenance Technician duties, such as but not limited to maintenance / repair to joinery; maintenance / minor repair to building fabric, painting / touching up to properties, minor mechanical / electrical repairs; minor repair to plumbing systems and clearing blockages; gutter & gulley clearance.
• Planned Preventative Maintenance jobs assigned; Lath & Plaster inspections; repairs and modifications to tiling; repairs and modification to door locks and door jamb repair, hanging doors, adjusting and installing door closers; repairs and maintenance to ceiling tiles, and any general repair to the facility that is required to maintain the standard of the building.
• Ensuring the timely delivery of general building and fabric maintenance
• Support for all general handyman duties for 2-man working and absence cover.
• Undertake minor works / alterations. Ensuring equipment is kept clean, in working order and sent for repair where necessary.
