Job summary

THE PIG Hotel in Brockenhurst is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to join our dedicated maintenance team. The role focuses on keeping the hotel functional, efficient, and safe, with emphasis on preventative maintenance and fire safety.

You'll work hands-on alongside a small team, handling basic repairs, painting and decorating, and assisting with renovations and projects under the Maintenance Manager. Experience in a similar role is preferred and PAT testing, electrics, plumbing or carpentry

Qualifications

• Hands-on facilities role experience preferred.
• Knowledge of fire safety is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Maintain functionality, efficiency, health and safety of the hotel.
• Manage preventative maintenance.
• Assist with renovations and projects.
• Paint and decorate as required.

Salary: OTE £14.16 per hour, including tronc

Hours: 35 hours per week, over 5 days. We are currently looking for a Maintenance Assistant to join our dedicate maintenance team.

We are currently looking for a Maintenance Assistant to join our dedicate maintenance team.

As a Maintenance Assistant you will work as part of a small team, cohesively maintaining the functionality, efficiency, health & safety of the hotel. The ability to manage preventative maintenance is key, along with knowledge and understanding of fire safety.

You will be required to be 'hands on’ expressing a ‘can do’ attitude. Most of the responsibilities will involve basic repairs of damaged facilities, equipment, painting and decorating, at times you may be required to help the Maintenance Manager coordinate renovations and additional projects.

Experience in a similar role is preferred, along with any qualifications or exposure to PAT testing, electrics, plumbing, fire safety, carpentry, plant room management, health, and safety.
