Job summary

The PIG at Combe in Honiton, England, is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to join our dedicated team. You will help keep the hotel functional and safe, performing preventative maintenance, basic repairs, painting, and decorating, with a hands-on, can-do attitude.

Experience in similar roles and exposure to fire safety, PAT testing, plumbing or carpentry is welcome. You will support the Maintenance Manager with renovations and projects, while enjoying a range of staff perks and opportunities to

• Perform basic repairs of damaged facilities, equipment, painting and decorating.
• Assist in coordinating renovations and additional projects with the Maintenance Manager.
• Support preventative maintenance and fire safety awareness.

Job description

We are currently looking for a Maintenance Assistant to join our dedicate maintenance team.

As a Maintenance Assistant you will work as part of a small team, cohesively maintaining the functionality, efficiency, health & safety of the hotel. The ability to manage preventative maintenance is key, along with knowledge and understanding of fire safety.

You will be required to be 'hands on’ expressing a ‘can do’ attitude. Most of the responsibilities will involve basic repairs of damaged facilities, equipment, painting and decorating, at times you may be required to help the Maintenance Manager coordinate renovations and additional projects.

Experience in a similar role is preferred, along with any qualifications or exposure to PAT testing, electrics, plumbing, fire safety, carpentry, plant room management, health, and safety.
