Job summary

The PIG at Combe in Exeter (EX14 3AD) is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to join our small, dedicated team. You will help maintain the hotel’s facilities, carry out preventative maintenance, basic repairs, painting and decorating, and assist the Maintenance Manager with renovations and projects.

The suitable candidate will be hands-on, safety-conscious and able to work with fire safety in mind; experience in PAT testing, electrics, plumbing, carpentry or plant room management is preferred.

Qualifications

• Hands-on maintenance experience preferred.
• Experience with preventative maintenance and safety checks.
• Exposure to PAT testing, electrics, plumbing, fire safety, carpentry or plant room management is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Maintain hotel facilities and equipment to ensure functionality and safety.
• Carry out basic repairs, painting and decorating as required.
• Assist Maintenance Manager with renovations and special projects.

Job description

We are currently looking for a Maintenance Assistant to join our dedicate maintenance team.

As a Maintenance Assistant you will work as part of a small team, cohesively maintaining the functionality, efficiency, health & safety of the hotel. The ability to manage preventative maintenance is key, along with knowledge and understanding of fire safety.

You will be required to be 'hands on’ expressing a ‘can do’ attitude. Most of the responsibilities will involve basic repairs of damaged facilities, equipment, painting and decorating, at times you may be required to help the Maintenance Manager coordinate renovations and additional projects.

Experience in a similar role is preferred, along with any qualifications or exposure to PAT testing, electrics, plumbing, fire safety, carpentry, plant room management, health, and safety.
