The following Telephonist vacancy has become available within the trusts Main Switchboard department.

This position will include working unsocial hours [including night shifts], weekends, and bank holidays. An essential part of this vacancy is the flexibility to cover your colleagues' leave and the ability to work both day and night shifts. You must be a team player as well as have the confidence to work alone.

Main duties of the job

We are an extremely busy department and the main first point of contact for the Trust therefore, a courteous, helpful, and positive telephone manner with excellent communication skills are essential.

Last year we received over 1 million calls and along with the handling of these we also monitored and actioned short and long-range pager requests; efficiently handled Crash and Trauma calls, Fire calls, Trust alarms including Medical gas and Estate alarms, Panic and Intruder alarms for both Leighton and Northwich Victoria.
