Job summary

Safetykleen is looking for a field service operative to service washers, collect waste, and deliver products at customer sites across the UK. You’ll inspect equipment, perform preventative maintenance, and carry out on-site repairs while ensuring safety and compliance.

Full training and licences support your growth in a trusted, global business. You’ll work in a hands-on role, travel daily, and engage with customers to uphold high standards of service.

Qualifications

  • Experience in field service roles is preferred.
  • Ability to work safely and independently on customer sites.
  • Strong communication skills and customer focus.
  • Full UK driving licence; 7.5t licence is required.

Responsibilities

  • Service and maintain parts washers to keep equipment clean and operational.
  • Handle waste collection and product delivery with safe transport.
  • Carry out inspections and preventative maintenance to prevent breakdowns.
  • Engage with customers on site, following procedures and standards.
  • Perform repairs and part replacements with training and support.
  • Record work details accurately using digital tools.
  • Identify improvements and opportunities to work more efficiently.

Role Overview

You'll be out on the road every day carrying out servicing, inspections, minor repairs, and chemical waste collections and deliveries. What You'll Be Doing
  • You'll service and maintain parts washers, making sure equipment is cleaned, checked, and running safely and efficiently to keep customers compliant and operational.
  • You'll handle waste collection and product delivery, safely managing and transporting materials.
  • You'll carry out inspections and preventative maintenance, spotting issues early and preventing breakdowns before they happen.
  • You'll engage directly with customers on site, building trust, following procedures, and making sure every visit is completed to a high standard.
  • You'll carry out repairs and part replacements, with full training and ongoing development provided to build your technical skills and confidence.
  • You'll use digital tools to accurately record your work, capturing key service information, and any important findings from each visit.
  • You'll constantly be scanning for improvements - whether that’s a service opportunity, a risk, or a smarter way of doing things.
