Job summary

Safetykleen is seeking a Warehouse Operative for a 3-month temporary role with the potential to go permanent. The position involves unloading and loading stock, handling drums, and contributing to a clean, compliant warehouse environment.

You’ll work Monday to Friday with opportunities to progress into logistics and service roles. The role includes training and development, private healthcare from day one, and a pension plan.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Forklift / Counterbalance Licence.
• Ability to lift heavy drums and manage stock safely.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Unload/load stock including cages and drums of waste.
• Repack drums or containers as required.
• Check compliance sheets and process stock receipts.
• Manage stock across the branch and ensure accurate recording.
• Record arrivals and ensure stock is tracked correctly.
• Maintain cleanliness of all areas.
• Forklift licence required for duties.
• Communicate effectively with the team and work independently when needed.

Job Responsibilities for our Warehouse Operative

• Unloading & loading of stock including cages and drums of industrial and automotive waste.
• Repacking of drums or containers.
• Checking of compliance sheets.
• Stock management of all branch stock.
• Item arrival and goods receipt processing ensuring stock is recorded correctly.
• Ensuring the maintenance and cleanliness of all areas.
• Forklift / Counterbalance Licence is required.
• A great communicator who values teamwork.
• A good self- starter who works independently as required.

Please note that this role requires heavy lifting / manoeuvring of drums.
