Job summary

Terex Cookstown is seeking a Night Shift Machine Operator to set up and run Laser cutting and Press machines, maintaining safety and quality standards on the production line.

You will monitor programs, measure parts, work as part of a team, and contribute to continuous improvement while adhering to health and safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Experience operating laser cutting and press machines is preferred.
• Must be able to read drawings and measure parts.
• Willing to work night shift and overtime.
• On-site training provided.
• Must pass safety checks.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate Laser cutting and Press machine to cut steel to required specification.
• Monitor cutting programs, check parts with drawings and amend parameters as needed.
• Inspect and measure finished products against requirements to determine if the process is complete.
• Meet production targets whilst working on the production line.
• Adhere to strict quality targets and contribute to continuous improvement.
• Complete daily safety checks and maintain health and safety regulations.

Join our Team as: Night Shift Machine Operator Location: Cookstown Hours of Work: 4 Day Week Monday to Thursday 3.45pm to 02.00am

Join our team at Terex Cookstown and embark on an exciting opportunity as we seek skilled and dedicated Machine Operator to contribute to our Production team. What you’ll do

• Set up and operate Laser cutting and Press machine to cut steel to the required specification
• Monitoring cutting programs, checking parts with respective drawings and amending working parameters when necessary
• Inspect and measure finished products and compare them with requirements to determine if the process has been completed properly
• Meeting set targets whilst working on the production line
• Adhering to strict quality targets
• Working as part of a team to develop continuous improvement
• To complete daily safety checks to ensure machine and work equipment is in good working order
• To maintain compliance to all Health and Safety Regulations

What you will bring

The successful candidate should be hard working, a good team player with excellent communication skills and good attention to detail. You should be willing to develop your skills on an ongoing basis in line with the growing business. We also require the flexibility to work overtime as and when required. Previous experience in a similar role will be advantageous, however on site training will be provided.
