Job summary

Terex in Farlough is seeking a skilled Buyer to manage purchase orders, supplier relationships and inventory levels. Reporting to the Materials Manager, you will use our ERP system to ensure cost control and on-time delivery.

The role requires GCSE or equivalent, purchasing experience, strong IT skills and the ability to prioritise to meet deadlines. Join Terex and contribute to our quality, safety and value-driven culture.

  • Good IT skills and Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to organise and prioritise workload to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Create Purchase Orders & Requisitions in ERP to meet demand.
  • Monitor Inventory levels and avoid stock outs.
  • Organise freight and collections from suppliers as needed.
  • Gather pricing and availability information from suppliers.
  • Run overdue PO reports and expedite late orders with suppliers.
  • Update Supply chain parameters and data in Oracle ERP.
  • Maintain and develop relationships with suppliers.
  • Resolve invoice queries in a timely manner.
  • Manage KPIs.

Working hours/days: 39.75 hours (Monday - Friday 7.45-5.00 & Friday 7.45-12.30)

Reporting to the Materials Manager, you will be responsible for the creation of purchase orders for products to maintain the inventory levels set for the department and ensure costs and service levels to customers are maintained.

What you’ll do
  • Creating Purchase Orders & Requisitions in our ERP system to meet demand
  • Monitor Inventory levels and avoid stock outs
  • Organising freight and collections from suppliers where needed
  • Gathering pricing and availability information from suppliers
  • Run overdue PO Reports and expedite late orders with suppliers
  • Update Supplychain parameters and data in our ERP system ORACLE
  • Maintain and develop relationships with suppliers
  • Resolving invoice queries in a timely manner
  • Management of KPI’s
What you’ll bring
  • Educated to a minimum of GCSE Standard or equivalent
  • Experience of a Purchasing role gained within a busy office environment
  • Good general IT & Microsoft skills especially Excel
  • Ability to organise and prioritise workload using your own initiative to meet deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
