Job summary

HRGO Recruitment is seeking a Machine Operator for our Forest of Dean client. You will operate and maintain production machinery, ensure adherence to the production schedule, and act on a fast-paced line.

We require experience in a production facility, a solid understanding of Health & Safety, and the ability to work 12-hour shifts (2 days, 2 nights, 4 off). The role offers circa £30,000 per annum with development opportunities.

HRGO Recruitment is on the hunt for a Production Operative for our client based in Forest of Dean. Our client is part of a global manufacturing firm, supplying to a variety of major brands. We are looking for an experienced Machine Operator who is logical and real team player to ensure our client’s fast paced production line goes smoothly.

Main Responsibilities of a Machine Operator:

• Manage, operate and maintain production machinery.
• Ensure products are manufactured adhering to the production schedule.
• Perform preventative and corrective minor maintenance on equipment as needed.
• Execute production changeovers and initiate start-up processes.
• Visually inspect completed products or use camera systems for verification.
• Conduct regular quality assessments
• Adhere to company safety standards while ensuring a clean and organised workspace.

Experience & Background

• Must have experience in a fast paced production facility.
• Strong awareness of Health & Safety regulations

Technical Skills

• Experience with tool changes and planned maintenance is a plus
