Job summary

Randstad Employment Bureau is assisting a client in Hinckley who needs a Machine Operator to support production lines. The role offers an ongoing temp contract with potential permanent opportunities based on performance, with alternating shifts and an ASAP start.

Pay is £14.91 per hour PAYE, plus overtime at 1.5x and 2.0x, and strong emphasis on health and safety practices. Candidates should have at least two years’ production experience, good communication skills, and the ability to stand for

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to stand for long periods and perform manual handling.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

• Set up and run machinery in line with health and safety guidelines.
• Maintain high quality standards on all produced items.
• Align output with customer requirements and deadlines.
• Assist with shifting production and duties as directed by the shift manager.

Role: Machine Operator

Location: Dodwells Rd, Hinckley LE10 3BX, United Kingdom

PayrateRate: £14.91 Per Hour PAYE

OT 1.5x

OT 2.0x

Contract length: Ongoing temp, potentially temp-perm based on performance & absences

Shift Patterns: Alternating shifts -

Week 1 - 6am to 2pm Monday to Friday

Week 2 - 2pm to 10pm Monday to Friday

Start: ASAP (within 1-2 weeks)

Responsibilities:

• Working in line with Health and Safety guidance and processes at all times

• Managing the setting and running of machinery

• Achieving high quality standards on all work produced

• Adhering to customer demands in a timely manner

• Completing any other duties relevant to the department as requested by the shift manager

Essential requirements:

• Previous experience in a production environment (2+ years)

• Strong verbal and written communication

• Comfortable being on foot for long periods of time

• Able to conduct manual handling
