Job summary

Unilin is seeking a MO2 Grade 2 operative to complete all MO2 Grade 2 tasks to a high standard while actively challenging processes for continuous improvement. The role emphasises quality, health, safety and welfare in line with Unilin’s values of openness, integrity, adaptability and customer focus.

The position is permanent, with rotating shifts 6am-2pm and 2pm-10pm Monday to Friday. The successful candidate will work across factory areas, maintain housekeeping, keep production data up to date

Responsibilities

• Work in accordance with the company’s ethos, values, policies and standards.
• Work flexibly across all areas of the factory as required.
• Complete and maintain all required training for the MO2 Grade 2 role and associated functions.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping and cleanliness across all working areas.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all products, processes and relevant procedures.
• Ensure all waste is segregated and disposed of properly.
• Follow all relevant work instructions, procedures and operating standards.
• Comply with all Health & Safety regulations, policies and procedures at all times.
• Take responsibility for your own Health & Safety and that of colleagues.
• Ensure all required production and operational data is recorded accurately.
• Manage and coordinate workflow effectively, ensuring the team operates to a high standard and achieves targets.
• Set up machinery and equipment as required, ensuring production start-up is completed safely and on time.
• Communicate with Shift Coordinators and Shift Leaders, and inform them of issues.
• Provide cover for MO1 or MO2 roles when required.
• Share knowledge and solutions with Shift Leaders and the Polymer Engineer to minimise downtime.
• Collaborate with team to ensure effective communication and timely transfer of information.
• Ensure quality standards and procedures are followed.
• Demonstrate flexibility in working hours to support production deadlines.
• Undertake any other duties as required to ensure smooth operations.

Job description

You will be responsible for completing all MO2 Grade 2 tasks to a consistently high standard, while proactively challenging the status quo and contributing to the ongoing evolution and continuous improvement of processes and performance. This role will place a strong emphasis on maintaining high standards of quality, health, safety and employee welfare, while actively promoting and demonstrating Unilin’s core values of openness, integrity, adaptability, customer focus and a collaborative team approach.

Permanent Postion, working Monday to Friday 6am-2pm/2pm-10pm rotating weekly.

• Demonstrate flexibility in working hours where required to support operational requirements and meet production deadlines.
• Undertake any other duties and responsibilities appropriate to the position, as reasonably requested by management.
