Job summary

UNILIN is seeking a Production Manager to oversee all production activities, ensuring efficient use of resources to meet targets while upholding high quality, safety, and cost standards.

The role requires a minimum degree in Engineering/Manufacturing and 3+ years’ production management experience in manufacturing. Hours are Monday–Friday with flexibility; ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 compliance is expected.

Qualifications

• Engineering/Manufacturing minimum degree qualification and/ or experience.
• Minimum 3+ years’ experience as a Production Manager in manufacturing.
• Experience implementing lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Proven track record of achieving operational KPI targets.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in ERP systems.
• IOSH Managing Safely qualification or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and optimise production schedules, resources, and capacity to achieve targets.
• Ensure compliance with environmental, health and safety legislation, policies, and company standards.
• Monitor, analyse, and report on KPIs, implementing corrective actions to drive continuous improvement.
• Lead and promote a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
• Ensure quality assurance systems are followed and products meet quality standards.
• Recruit, develop, coach, and motivate production team to maximise performance.
• Apply HR policies and procedures relating to recruitment, training, performance management and employee development.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and set objectives to achieve business goals.
• Foster effective communication to ensure timely information flow across levels.
• Prepare and present monthly performance reports and action plans.
• Undertake additional responsibilities as requested by management.
• Demonstrate flexibility in working hours to meet demands.
• Support ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 compliance.

Working Monday - Friday 08:30 - 17:00, must be flexible. Must haveEngineering/Manufacturing minimum degree qualification and/ or experience.

Person Specification

Knowledge & Experience

• Engineering/Manufacturing minimum degree qualification and/ or experience.


• Minimum 3+ years’ experience working as a Production Manager in a manufacturing environment.


• Experience of implementing lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies, including waste reduction, workflow optimisation, and 6S workplace organisation.


• Proven track record of achieving and sustaining operational KPI’s targets.


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholder at all levels of the organisation.


• Experience in Microsoft Office, SAP or other ERP systems.


• Strong ability to manage production operations effectively while ensuring customer requirements, quality standards, and business objectives are consistently achieved.


• Ability to manage workplace challenges, resolve employee relations issues, and make sound operational decisions.


• Collaborative and proactive team player with a commitment to supporting organisational goals and driving operational excellence.


• Hold a minimum of IOSH Managing Safely qualification or equivalent.
