Job summary

UNILIN is seeking a Facilities Technician to support the delivery of statutory, compliance and general maintenance checks across the site, ensuring ongoing upkeep, safety and high standards of the factory and surrounding areas.

The role is permanent, Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm, with duties including daily solar energy readings, weekly and monthly safety checks, basic maintenance, and SAP record-keeping as part of ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 commitments.

Qualifications

• Good verbal and written communication skills with a proactive approach.
• Essential computer literacy and ability to use SAP for recording checks.
• Ability to work on own initiative and meet deadlines.
• Self-motivated team player able to support maintenance goals.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily Solar Energy readings and record results in SAP.
• Carry out Weekly Tests & Checks: Fire Alarm, Spark Detection, Sprinkler Pumps, Energy readings and related Olfactory Checks; log promptly.
• Carry out Monthly Checks: Ladder, Fire Extinguisher, Fire Door; ensure timely SAP entries.
• Perform routine cleaning, stores upkeep, stock takes and basic repairs.
• Support ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 compliance.

We are currently recruiting for a Facilities Technician to support the delivery of statutory, compliance and general maintenance checks across the site. The successful candidate will help ensure the ongoing upkeep, safety and high standards of the factory and surrounding areas. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has recently gained a relevant qualification and is looking to develop their career in a maintenance role. This is a permanent position, working Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm.

Key Tasks and Duties

• Responsible for conducting Solar Energy Reading on a daily basis
• Responsible for conducting the following Weekly Tests & Checks: Fire Alarm Tests, Spark Detection, Sprinkler Pumps, Energy readings Olfactory Checks, Water Flushing Checks, Water Temperature Checks, Hour Run Readings and ensure that all are recorded in a timely an accurate manner on SAP
• Responsible for conducting the following Monthly Tests and Checks: Ladder Checks, Fire Extinguisher Checks, Fire Door Checks and ensuring that all are recorded in a timely accurate manner on SAP
• Perform any immediate cleaning duties necessary to maintain a clean safe facility
• Responsible for stores upkeep and stock takes
• Responsible for parts retrieval and tracking
• Responsible for Saw Blade tracking
• Ensure the general upkeep of the plant by undertaking minor repairs, general laboring tasks, general housekeeping and painting tasks as and when required (basic plumbing, electric, woodwork repairs)
• Able to work at heights (reaching aircon units, roof guttering, etc.)
• Assist other departments as requested to ensure company objectives are obtained
• Tasks may require flexible working hours
• Undertake any reasonable request as directed by management
• Support the business in line with its ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 certification.
